The Butterfly Monarch was designed to swim in a circular motion when being jerked on the retrieve, mimicking the erratic action of a fleeing baitfish. On the fall, the Butterfly Monarch will initially slide horizontally and then begin to spiral. The Butterfly Monarch is ideal for targeting everything from tuna to bottom fish, both while drifting or at anchor.
Shimano designed SCALE BOOST lure technology with its exclusive composite-pitch holograms that mimic realistic patterns of baitfish scales. Compared to lures with single-pitch holograms, SCALE BOOST technology capitalizes on composite-pitch holograms to increase the amount and complexity of light reflected through the water.
